[Ethereal-users] 98SE help please

Hi,
Love ethereal, I recently installed ethereal 0.99.0 on my laptop running windows 98se. It installed great but I get  a dos window pop-open that says 

08:51:05         Err File emem.C: Line 252: Assertion Fail: (ret == True)
Press any key to exit

                . I uninstalled and reinstalled and still get the same. I used the same ethereal install cd on my xp ops computer and it works no problem. Please help as I really need to use it on the 98se.
