Hello,
I have just tried to download, compile and install version 0.10.13 of
Ethereal on a Ubuntu 5.08 installation.
It is possible to run the program if I run the script called 'ethereal'
which do a special linking of the program before it runs it.
I do a './configure', 'make' and 'make install', but when I try to run
it, it complains about that it can't find the shared libraries. First
it is 'libwiretap' then it is 'libethereal' when I make a symbolic link
to the these files in /usr/lib/ these messages disappair but then a
messaage saying: 'ethereal: relocation error: ethereal: undefined
symbol: t30_indicator_vals'. If I grep on the symbol in the /usr/lib
tree I get no results.
Have any body experienced any similar problems ?
Best regards
