Is the port of the catalist where your etherreal reside used as span/monitoring all traffic from/to the pix's port of the catalist ?

I am running the capture in promiscuous mode on the dmz and
I cannot see any traffic that comes from my cisco pix firewall.I do have a
cisco catalyst switch connecting it to the rest of the dmz. Can you tell
