Is there anyway to have ethereal or tethereal run as a windows service when the computer starts up? It would be a lot easier on me to have it do that than to have to restart it everytime I reboot the computer.A service is only required if you need to run Ethereal/Tethereal while no user is logged in. The biggest disadvantage is, that you can't get visual output from a service.
If it can't run as a windows service can somebody point me to a sniffer than can sniff packets and log it to a file that can be viewed by ethereal?
You may try tcpdump/WinDump, but I've never used it myself.
