I assume you're referring here to the packet counts and percentages 
displayed while you're capturing.

If so, Ethereal classifies packets as "Other" if the packet-classifying 
code doesn't classify them as being in any of the other categories it 
lists, either because they're not in any of those categories or because 
there's a bug in the classifying code.
