[Ethereal-users] Ethereal aborts while executing filter display

I'm trying to filter my capture file using "ip.addr != xxx.yyy.0.0/16". 
about 75% of the way through, I get the error message "file proto.c:
line 2072: assertion failed (*length >=0)".  What can I do ?
