Sorry if I didn't explain well enough. If this is a problem in the Glib/GTK packages Ethereal must be rebuilt(recompiled) using the new libraries. That's why I cc:ed ethereal-dev.

I downloaded the files after the guide and installed the packages, but I
found the files
were installed in other folders. and when I installed the gtk+ extracted
files into ethereal
folders, problem didn't fix. 

Now I know that Gtk+ is isolated driver package, how it can work with
ethereal?
Can you give me a little more advice on which is the right procedure
after downloading?

This is probably a bug in glib
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=141124

Fixed in the latest releases of glib/gtk+
glib-2.4.5-20040903.zip. Runtime of GLib 2.4.5,
gtk+-2.4.9-20040903.zip.

Should we update Ethereal to use this packages ?

Hi there,

I encounted  issues when I do any file operation, such as save as in
menu, 
open in menu, create file in capture window.

Two popup windows will appears like the attachment and then ethereal is
closed.

I'm running a chinese version windows XP. wincap3.0 is installed

Please help me on this issues.
