[Ethereal-users] excluding loopback from capture?

Hi,
I'm in a class that uses Linux machines and Cisco 2611
routers.  One problem I get is that some interfaces on
the routers keep sending out loopback packets.  Is
there a way to exclude these loopback packets from my
ethereal capture?  or is there a way to get the
routers to stop?  Thanks for any help you can provide!
