[Ethereal-users] Ethereal on Solaris8 -relocation error

Hi,

 

I've installed Ethereal on Solaris8 and got the following error message:

** (process:20030): WARNING **: Couldn't load module /usr/local/lib/ethereal/plugins/0.10.4/acn.so: ld.so.1: /usr/local/bin/ethereal: fatal: relocation error: file /usr/local/lib/libethereal.so.0: symbol g_string_sprintfa: referenced symbol not found
ld.so.1: /usr/local/bin/ethereal: fatal: relocation error: file /opt/sfw/lib/libgdk-1.2.so.0: symbol g_source_add: referenced symbol not found

 

the following packages were added:

libiconv-1.8-sol8-sparc-local

libpcap-0.8.3-sol8-sparc-local

ethereal-0.10.4-solaris2.8-sparc-local

gcc-3.3.2-sol8-sparc-local

sfwgtk

glib-2.2.3-sol8-sparc-local

tcpdump-3.8.3-sol8-sparc-local

gtk-2.2.4-sol8-sparc-local

zlib-1.1.4-sol8-sparc-local

 

Can you tell me what was wrong?
