[Ethereal-users] problem with ethereal in win98 se with dsl

here is the situation...

i have installed latest winpcap (which is 3.0)

i have tried several versions of ethereal starting with the latest and 
working backwards...

each time i try to do a capture before i can even direct it to another disk 
and file that blue screen that haunts
all developers comes up...

the message is

an exception 0D has occurred at 0028:d118b19b in vxd this was called from 
0028:c00k3d4 in vxd ndis(01) + 00004860


i have something in my system that when i access a high volume page, starts 
dumping data out through the browser..
without being able to see the packets i cant figure out what it is..   it 
doesnt have to do with the website i think some
software has attached to the higer volume access, so when i access it it 
dumps..  i believe that any site you
visit a lot would be the target at the time.

help..  i really need to look at the packets and so far this is my only 
option.. i am unemployed now and cant afford
to buy a high priced solution for this situaiton..
