[Ethereal-users] Sniffing at the socket level

Everyone,

I was wondering if Ethereal does it's sniffing of traffic at the
SOCK_RAW level. If not, could you direct me to a sniffer that does sniff
at the socket level. I want to see how this type of sniffers works
compared to normal sniffers that work at the Ethernet level. Thanks.
