Yes, it does.  There's a dialog box popped up when a capture is started;
it shows several counters, with packets captured so far, as well as a
"Stop" button.  Click that button.

Sometimes, on Windows, that dialog box can get hidden, so you might have
to find it on the task bar and pop it up again.
