[Ethereal-users] gtk-config & glib-config vs pkg-config

Trying to install Ethereal 0.9.6 on a Mandrake Linux  2.4.18 box.  Allready 
have it running on W2K, excellent product which woulld help in the Linux 
environment.  Anywau, using glib-2.0.6, gtk+-2.0.6.  Looks like the configure 
script is looking for output from the glib-config and gtk-config commands, 
not getting them, and failing.  Although the installation process reports a 
good install of  the glib and gtk products, and pgk-config confirms, don't 
see the gtk-config or glib-config scripts.  Maybe not installed in later 
versions? Anyone else running into this problem?  Is pgk-config supposed to 
replace?  Thanks
