I'm using antiword and the following line in .mailcap:
application/msword; antiword %s; copiousoutput
It converts the text part of the document to plain text (at least with
mutt).
This doesn't help in this specific case as the only content of the word
document is a picture (which could probably have been mailed without
embedding it in word first - hint hint ;->

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
