[Ethereal-users] Where to find the device interface

Kind of a crazy question, but how does Ethereal get what it calls the
device interface in windows?
(i.e. FE575 Ethernet Adapter:
\Device\NPF_{06910629-29A0-4689-9148-76126D9494EC})

Is there a file that contains this info somewhere on my system.  Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
