Ethereal-users: July 2002

I am trying to upgrade ethreal 0.8.17-1 to the latest version on a redhat 7.0 or 7.2 system.  It it telling me it needs a new libpcap.so.0.6.2, libcrypto.so.0, and libsnmp.so.0.

Now I know I have openssl-0.9.6-3 so I dont know why libcrypto.so doesnt exist.  Also apparently I need to upgrade to libsnmp.so.0 and that requires librpm-4.0.4.so.

Any recommened paths to follow to upgrade to the new ethereal version.  I have about 10 boxes I need to upgrade and I fear it will be the same problem with all of them and I am not very experienced in linux administration.  Also is there an easy way to upgrade these RPM packages.  I fear that this may become a long and involved processes and these servers that house ethereal are live and in production.

Thx
