[Ethereal-users] filering of OSPF packets

Hi everybody !

I am trying to make a program to filter the OSPF packets from the network. I am taking a look in winpcap and ethereal and I have some questions:
Does ethereal completly analyses the contents of an OSPF packet ?
After the OSPF packet is grabbed, where is it saved ?
Does anybody knows a free project that specifically filters OSPF packets and analyse the content of the packets ? 

I am trying to look in the source code, but if somebody could give me any hints I would appreciate.
