[Ethereal-users] Installation of Ethereal with older version of Winpcap

Hi everybody !

In the Win32-readme file (instructions for instalation of Ethereal in windows OS) it says:


If you already have an earlier version of WinPcap installed, you need to
un-install it and install the latest version.  If the older version is
WinPcap 2.0 or 2.02, and you have other applications that use the older
version , you will have to decide which applications to keep, since
WinPcap 2.0/2.02 and later versions cannot be installed on the same
system at the same time.

That is my case:
I have Microsoft Windows 2000 professional and already an Winpcap 2.02 is installed and used by another application. I cannot un-install it. So, is it possible to install the latest version of Ethereal (without installing Winpcap latest version) ? Will it work with my Winpcap 2.02 ? If not, should I intall an older version of Ethereal (which version)? Where could I find it ??
