Ethereal-users: May 2002

I have installed Ethereal in my desktop (Win2000) with no problems, it
performs very good.
I installed on my Compaq Armada 4120 laptop (win98). Install went fine,
but when I start the program it throws an error box that reads:

Gdk-ERROR **. Palettized display (256-colour) mode not supported on Windows.
aborting...
				OK

After I "OK" it gives this error box: (but I would guess this is only
a symptom of the first error)

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program C:\PROGRAM FILES\ETHEREAL\ETHEREAL.EXE

abnormal program termination
				OK

I tried turning the display down to 16 colors, but no help.
Any suggestions?

Thanks, Joseph
