[Ethereal-users] NA Sniffer for Windows output with Tethereal 0.8.19

Hi there,

I am having a little trouble with exports from
Tethereal 0.8.19, installed on Winnt with the binary
package.

If I load the libpcap file into the ethereal GUI and
export it, it works OK, but if I try:

tethereal -r myfile.cap -F ngwsniffer_1_1 \
-w outfile.cap

...I get a file which is unreadable, either from
Sniffer Pro, or Ethereal.

I'm running an older version of Tethereal (0.8.12) on
my old RedHat 6.1 boot and haven't got around to
upgrading yet, so haven't tried this on 'Nix.

Anyone got this working on any version of tethereal?

I tried the sniffer for dos output format, but Sniffer
Pro doesn't want to know about that either (although
Ethereal will read this format OK).

I want to process the files with tethereal rather than
ethereal, because of memory limitations on the 'ol
laptop when working with large captures.
