Roger, fully understood - so that doesn't appear to be a standard solution.

In the meantime I have tried tethereal, and this one does work indeed -
though I can't see the packets running in real time. The capture file
however was nicely available and contains all traffic.

Affirm, I did update that file only via Ethereal itsself, so from the front
end.
