[Ethereal-users] Win98 & promiscuous Mode

Hi, Folks,

I have just downloaded Ethereal 0.8.18 for Windows, run it on top of Win98
(original release as well as second edition), and can not get promiscuous
mode to work - no matter what I do in selecting the checkbox in the actual
capture command. I always only see traffic to/from own workstation and
broadcasts.

However, when I run Windump, it fully works and I see all traffic across
the wire, including traffic the local workstation is not involved in.

Do I overlook something obvious, or is there a bug?
