[ethereal-users] Ethereal 0.8.9 and Linux 2.2.16: strange behaviour

Hello,

I'm experiencing a very strange behaviour with Ethereal 0.8.9.
I'm using Ethereal on i386 Linux 2.2.16.

The problem is the following: when I try to capture packets related to any
local port, be it the 80, 25, 110, or anyone else, *no packet* is captured;
requests to other hosts correctly work.

Is anyone having the same kind of problem ?
