Since I needed to debug communication with a Siemens PLC I needed a plug-in for the "S5 Fetch/Write" protocol. I didn't find one in ethereal, so I wrote one that worked reasonably well. Now, after switching to another PLC hardware (which does not run the protocol directly on TCP but over ISO-on-TCP) I found out that the packet-h1.c dissector is doing exactly what I needed... Ouch! I had been working with Siemens PLCs and the S5 Fetch/Write protocol a bit but never heard of the name "Sinec H1". However, after googleing around I must admit that the name seems to be correct. But since most PLCs now offer to run the protocol directly on TCP, I attached a little patch.
