I think Stu Feldman might have said, at one point, that the requirement
that commands in "make" rules begin with one or more tabs wasn't intended
to be a permanent requirement, but that "make" got out the door before
they had a chance to do something better, so now we're stuck with it.

I removed the extra blanks that caused GNU make distress.
