[Ethereal-dev] Ethereal crash

Hello,

  I am using ethereal in linux machine the ethereal version is 0.10.7.

  I am getting the segmentation fault when some packet is selected in the packet list.

  The problem is in seek read.

 

1. I want to know at which point the ethereal is crashing. I want to use debugger(GDB) to know the point of crash using the "core" file.I have not seen ethereal on segmentation fault generating the "core" file. Is therea any fascility to know the point of crash ie the function and the line number.?

2. Is therea any other file generated by ethereal on segmentation fault similer to "core"

  for debugging the segmentation fault.
