I haven't tried a Windows build in a while, but I suspect the problem might be that GCC can handle bigger string constants that VC++ can. That might mean that we should make the FAQ a file installed in the Ethereal installation directory, and should have the help code open that file, read lines from it, and insert them in the text buffer, rather than having it compiled into Ethereal.
