Ethereal-dev: November 2002

hi-

If this question has already been answered, i apologize...

Maybe this could be in the FAQ or such, but has anybody found a way
to convince ethereal 0.9.7 ./config to work with net-snmp-5.0.6 ?

I'm using an x86 RedHat 8.0 based system with gcc 3.2. I removed all
the ucd/net-snmp rpms and built net-snmp-5.0.6 from the official
tarball.

I've tried building with and without the 'ucd-snmp-compatability'
switch, but ethereals ./config either mis-uses the ucd-snmp/snmp.h
header (i.e., it does not provide the required #define to snmp.h)

The config.log indicate that ./config is still trying to access
<ucd-snmp/snmp.h> within the installed the net-snmp package, which
just doesn't exist...

 Thanks-

ron
