[Ethereal-dev] internationalization

Hi,

I found previous attempts to internationalize ethereal
in last year's archives. I apologize for my ignorance on the matter,
but can anyone tell me if those attempts yielded any results?

I would like to translate the package into Russian. Unfortunatey,
I am not an expert on how gettext is supported across the platforms
or on how one makes the whole source support gettext. I can try, but
it would be nice to have a summary of prior experience :-)

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
