I'm a bit confused, as the __attribute__ stuff shouldn't affect the configure
scripts for gtk/glib. It doesn't on my suse 7.3 system with both, gcc2.95.3
and the gcc3 developmentsnapshot from august of last year. Please mail the
error you see with configure.

I found out that "pro" means "instead of" (as in proconsul). Now I know
what proactive means.
