This has been in the code for ages, but just noticed it again. Not sure if it's something that can be reasonably dealt with or not. If you open a capture, filter it, and then save the displayed packets to the same capture file, the original file is destroyed (obviously), but the saved data is corrupt. (Basically, you can't overwrite the file you're currently viewing without the end result being useless.) Usually everything ends up displaying as plain Ethernet packets. If you save to a new file, the save data is not corrupted. Not sure if there is a good way to deal with this or not. Saving to a temporary file and renaming, or renaming original first, might solve it. -- Nathan ------------------------------------------------------------ Nathan Neulinger EMail: nneul@xxxxxxx University of Missouri - Rolla Phone: (573) 341-4841 Computing Services Fax: (573) 341-4216
