[Ethereal-dev] asn.1 compiler used???

Hi ,

I just wanted to know which asn.1 compiler is used for generating the Encode/Decode routines that are  used by ethereal.  Also I wanted to know which format is used for enc/dec like
BER, PER etc.
I read somewhere that ethereal uses the openh323 asn.1 compiler. I have downloaded one
but it generates the encode and decode routines in c++.( whereas the one used by ethereal is
in C) .
Can anyone tell me how do I use it to generate the routines in C.
Does anyone know any other open source asn.1 compiler( written in C ) which generates
 enc/dec routines in C  in "PER" format.
