That's because WinPcap 2.2 wasn't available when Ethereal was last
released.  (It was just released yesterday; it was in beta since July
6.)

We'll probably build with 2.2 in the next release, as it includes a
number of bug fixes, as well as, I infer, improved IPv6 support.
