While cleaning out some e-mail I encountered people's comments about some ideas they were working on for Ethereal: - performance graph - scripting tools - host to host (circular) traffic graph - others Anyone still working on any of these? I'm interested in performance graphing. I have a need for displaying network usage -- perhaps as a percentage of some specified bandwidth. There was some talk of doing it as part of the "Capture/Playback" window. [Playback still listed as a "To do".] There was some discussion as to whether or not graphing was something we'd like to add or whether perhaps it belonged as a separate app. I was thinking of something along the lines of netmon, but having n lines each colorized based on a filter and tracking absolute packet count or percentage of total packets either since start of Ethereal or over a (user configurable) time interval (that is the user would see a radio button choice of those three with the last having a dialog to enter the number of seconds for the interval). Has anyone done any work on this? I have a *little* possible funding, but I'd much prefer to start with something as the operative word is "little".
