I kept it around in case I missed something when I copied stuff to
"doc/README.developer"; as you're the author of "doc/proto_tree", you
probably know whether there's anything in it that still needs to be
propagated to "doc/README.developer" - if not, you might as well delete
"doc/proto_tree".
