Ethereal-dev: November 1999

Ethereal 0.7.7 (just downloaded it), running on RedHat Linux 6.1 (386), with
following relevant RPM's (straight off the CD):

gtk+-devel-1.2.5-2
gtk+10-1.0.6-6
gtk+-1.2.5-2
libpcap-0.4-16

Compiled using a vanilla (no args) invocation of configure.

Invoke as just plain old "ethereal", try to open a file (written on this
machine by tcpdump, and intelligible to ethereal-0.5.1), get this message:

Message: pcap: File has 942359487-byte packet, bigger than maximum of 65535

I'd say this was a byte order problem for sure, except that 942359487 isn't
anything with low-order zeros in base 16.
