[ethereal-dev] Some thoughts on the configure and build process

As you people may have seen in earlier messages, I got Ethereal compiled and
working on the Sun platform.

However, why does the configure process require the bpf include file, if
you're not using bpf to collect packets?

I've had to hack the configure script to return a 'yes' rather than a 'no'
at that stage.  After that, and a few
minor tweaks due to my unusual enviroment, the build went flawlessly except
for the flex/bison problem which
was addressed in anothern ote.
