[ethereal-dev] Ethereal team meeting face-to-face? A possibility?

Hi,

tonight I was at a presentation at the local Linux users group in Adelaide,
and Jon 'mad-dog' Hall presented.  Mad-dog is from Linux International and
is also on the board of Usenix or something like that.

He mentioned that he wants Linux International to fund, in some way at
least, project meetings for 'open-source' related projects. These might
take the form of a one-off, or perhaps annual, and would provide assistance
for travel expenses, especially for people from out-of-town.  It may also
involve help with equipment etc, and would probably revolve around a Linux
World event or something like that.

I want to put up a proposal for the Ethereal team, and am wondering who
would be interested in a meeting?

I would imagine that to be funded you will have to be a contributor of some
level, and someone for who it would be seriously expensive to get to the
meeting.

On another note, I met someone who might be interested in working on a
protocol description facility.  Paul "Rusty" Russell, the author of the
IPChains facility for Linux expressed a lot of interest.
